8.5 x 11.5, gouache on Strathmore Illustration Board.
Well, this was certainly a nightmare from start to finish! This is the painted version of my test page for Radical Publishing. I actually like this version more than the original preliminary pencil version... but not by much. I made the rookie mistake of painting directly over the graphite, and consequently spent most of my time erasing and repainting the majority of this page.
This page is from a sample script that was provided for me, and was a test to see how I'd depict the scene. The feather motif actually wasn't in the script, but it's worked for me before, and I thought that it added a nice cinematic touch.
No Brazilian prostitutes were harmed in the painting of this page...
... no, they were harmed during the photo shoot.
