8x10, gouache/watercolors. This was my first watercolor painting, and my first attempt at photo-realistic sequential art. Done in the method of Alex Ross; rendered first entirely in black and white to map the intensity of tones, then color applied directly over it. Quite a learning experience.
I've pondered this beautiful piece for a while, and the emotion here is very powerful. I am trying to put my finger on what exactly this piece portrays, but I'm not sure I've got it right. I see remorse, longing, hatred .... I may be wrong.
Your artistic brilliance has really been brought out through this specific portrait (and through "Dark Knight"). I am thinking about writing a short piece for this painting (when I have free time), but I am not sure I'd do it justice. I can't seem to figure out this one.
Marvelous...The shading of the face and the shadows that fall in the wrinkling of his brow and under his eyes really show the intensity of this man's emotions. I love it.
Thank you so much. This is an important painting for me, even though looking at some of it makes me cringe. As to what you see in it: yes,yes,yes... and no.
I'd be honored for you to write another of your own brilliant pieces based upon my work, and that invitation's ALWAYS there for whenever you wish to use it.
This piece is so moving. You have captured a moment and expressed it so sorrowfully. Your use of darker colors enhances the emotional feel of this work. There are some things better captured with paint and pen, than with a click of a button.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

You'd do well to steer clear of anyone you ever encounter with this particular look in their eyes, dear Umbrella; it's the mark of insanity.
